Despite other projects of the foundation, the governing body decided to help the widows residing in the close by villages of Pir Sohawa
Following procedure was adopted to select the most deserving beneficiaries: –
- Ground survey. A team comprising 3 members was earmarked to conduct a ground survey of the all the villages in the close vicinity of the Monal Restaurant. The survey continued for over two weeks. Initial data was of 15x widows was collected, however over the period of time the figure has now rise to 33.
- Verification procedure. The data collected by own staff was sent to numberdar of the respective villages for re verification of the credential. In the process the number of widows increased and all of the them were for provision of financial assistance.
- Financial Assistance. It was mutually decided by the governing body of the Foundation that sum of Rs. 5000/-(Five Thousand) will be granted to each widow. However, keeping in view, the market inflation Rs. 1000(One Thousand) was increased, In each quarter.
Financial Assistance Program

With the objective of providing financial support to deserving people in marginalized communities, the Monal Foundation has undertaken a program under which widows residing in villages in Pir Sohawa are provided with a monthly stipend amounting to Rs. 6,000 per month.
Field teams from Monal Foundation conduct on-ground survey in the villages and the data collected is verified by the concerned Numberdars of the villages after which the monthly stipend is paid out in cash. To date, a total number of 33 registered widows are receiving the monthly stipend.
